Ken Lay, one of America's biggest thieves ever, just died yesterday. Alas, he wasn't gut-shot and left to die slowly in agony as a warning to others, but we can take comfort in the thought that all his stolen wealth wasn't enough to save him when his heart broke.
Unfortunately, his idea that government regulation should only exist, not to protect people, but to make them more vulnerable to outright theft from people like him, hasn't died with him.
